Dr Will Brownlie
Will Brownlie is based at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology and is the project coordinator of the OPF project. His research focuses on the sustainable management of phosphorus and nitrogen to minimize impacts on the environment and society. Will contributes to the UNEP in various capacities, including engagement with the UNEP Global Partnership on Nutrient Management (GPNM) as a member of the Phosphorus Task Team, and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN (FAO) as part of the working group for ‘the international Code of Conduct for the sustainable use and management of fertilizers’. Will is also part of the project coordination unit of the International Nitrogen Management System (INMS) project, a science-policy support process funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Trust Fund. He is leading an activity within the INMS project, focusing on the collection of data on nitrogen management measures/technologies, for development into a database system, global compendium and guidance document.
